The Bayshore Animal Hospital Mission
For more than two decades, Bayshore Animal Hospital has been a trusted veterinary home for the dogs and cats of Charlevoix, Petoskey, Boyne City, and the communities of Northern Michigan. Founded in the spring of 2000 by Drs. Matthew and Julie, our hospital began on a wooded parcel of land across from Lake Michigan — and has grown, alongside the families we serve, into one of the area’s most enduring independently owned veterinary practices. As a destination region for pet lovers, Northern Michigan welcomes visitors from near and far, and we’re proud to care for pets who call this area home year-round as well as those visiting with their families seasonally or on vacation.
What’s stayed the same through every season is our approach. We believe great veterinary medicine begins with listening — to your pet, and to you. Our team takes time to understand your concerns, communicate findings clearly, and meet you where you are emotionally, financially, and practically. We see veterinary care as a partnership, not a transaction, and our goal is to help you make confident, informed decisions for the pet you love.
